Michelle "Mish Mash" Ryan was born on April 22nd 1984 in Enfield, Middlesex.
When she was at school she had a Saturday job at Pineapple Studios. She says she loved seeing all the bands come in to practice! Michelles first break into fame was having a role in CITVs childrens programme, "The Worst Witch".
In September 2000, when she was 16, Michelle took on the role of new girl Zoe Slater in Eastenders. Even though she appeared in "Burnside" and "The Worst Witch" Michelles Eastenders role, was what shot her into fame.
Michelle admits she has grown extrememly close to her on-screen family in Eastenders, and loves to socialise with them off camera. She has also said that she is very close to Jessie Wallace, who plays her on screen mum Kat. This closeness has been vital to get through the gruelling storylines that this central family has to act out.
Still living with her dad and mum, Tina, in their North London home, Michelle says she treats them to special presents.
Michelle likes spending time with her friends and eating out. She loves shopping and says it's definitely a form of therapy!
Michelle's favourite actresses are Angelina Jolie, Liv Tyler and Meryl Streep. Her favourite actor is Robert De Niro. She also admires Joseph Fiennes, Jude Law, Brad Pitt, Leonardo Di Caprio and Josh Hartnett.
Believed to be currently single, after splitting from Footballers Wives actor Gary Lucy. Michelle took 2 months off from Eastenders due to stress because of work, and the ending of their relationship.
Michelle ranked #70 in 2002's FHM Magazine's 100 Sexiest Women.
