Kelly Taylor first arrived in Albert Square on December 11th 2001. She then re-appeared with best friend Zoe Slater in 2002, as the pair returned from Tenerife together.
Born in 1984, Kelly was kicked out when her mum re-married, and she had to become a prostitute to survive. Zoe soon followed, and became a prostitute after running away from home. Now, luckily, both girls have left those days well behind. However Roxy (her pimp) has never forgiven her for running off to Tenerife with one of her punters, but she's safe from her grasp in Walford.
She now lives in the Slater house as a proud extra member of the Slater family. Kelly and Zoe have been joined at the hip since her arrival in the Square. She's the more streetwise, sassy and sarky of the pair. She's bound to lead her best mate astray soon enough.
Kelly works with Zoe on their market stall after being offered to buy into it.
Kelly's also proving to be a right flirt. After a New Year's snog with Spencer she's happy to keep stringing him along. Yet Kelly will never admit that she really has true feelings for him.
